For over a decade, many African nations have been beset by internal strife, armed conflict, poverty, and political instability. These challenges have led to widespread human rights abuses and immense suffering. The Centre for Peace and Development (CENPAD) was founded to address these critical issues by promoting peace, defending human rights, and fostering sustainable development, with a primary focus on the West Africa sub-region. We are a non-political, non-governmental, and non-profit organization dedicated to creating a better and safer world.
