Our Story
The Centre for Peace and Development (CENPAD) was founded in 2002 and registered in Banjul, The Gambia (registration number 436), in response to the urgent need for an independent body to address the challenges of peace, development, and human security in Africa. The organization was born from a desire to establish a forum for advancing good health facilities, socio-cultural understanding, human dignity, and tolerance. CENPAD is managed by Africans who are committed to promoting peace, resolving conflicts, and advocating for the fundamental freedoms of all people.
